Host Terri Benincasa
Boomer Nation! is provocative, thoughtful, informational, and entertaining—giving this Absolutely Amazing Generation just what we need to live, work, and play at our Boomer best.
The show’s host, Terri Benincasa, is a proud Boomer herself and known nationally as an expert in all things Boomer, from what “turns us on” to what “hangs us up.” Her show moved to the larger station, WGUL 860 AM from from smaller WTAN 1340 AM in Tampa Bay where she had quickly developed a loyal listenership. That’s because every week, she gives her listeners the Boomer-specific better-living advice & information found nowhere else. And she keeps her fellow Boomers laughing at themselves to make sure our greatness doesn’t go to our heads!
Terri’s background is in Psychology and business, with over 20 years’ combined experience behind her success as a Business & Personal Coach. For the past 8 years she’s studied and researched the wants, needs, and trends of her fellow Boomers, so she knows what Boomers want and how they want to get it… She’s been seen in the Tampa Bay area on the NBC affiliate’s The Daytime Show, and on PAX-TV with her original show “What Works.”
Format break-out: The show draws from the parts of program styles proven to be what Boomer audiences love:
- It’s completely for & about Boomers —It’s one of the first of its kind in the nation
- It’s local and streamed on-line—so Boomer Nation! focuses on Boomer-friendly information and issues that are specific to Tampa Bay and have a national reach…
- Nationally acclaimed guests—each providing their expert advice in one of the show’s three areas (living, working, playing), and Terri’s psychology background explains her indisputable talent for bringing out the best in them, and the information they wish to impart
- Better-living Information—hand-picked and researched; the best how-to tips for life (this includes products/services for Boomers ’ children & grandchildren)
- It’s Entertaining: With each week’s popular Boomer Trivia Contest played by her national guests for the coveted “Expert in All Things Trivial” award, and the periodic “In Perspective” and “Boomers in the News” segments, Terri makes sure we don’t take our selves too seriously… And to really liven things up, every so often Terri spotlights local Boomer talent, for the “variety” feel that keeps the show fresh and listeners coming back.
